A group of young people in Belfast were given the opportunity to learn about Japanese culture, both traditional and contemporary, through a range of activities.
For children aged 7-12, this included learning Japanese language, trying origami, tasting Japanese food and drink, and a VR tour of Japan. While another group, as part of their ‘Minecraft Club’, had a go at designing their own Japanese city. A small group of teenagers also took part in learning about Japan, while trying Japanese food and drink.
These fun and interactive activities gave young people in the area the chance to try things they perhaps would not otherwise have had the chance to.
