16-19 year olds in Greater London can now apply to join the Japan Youth Collective.

We are pleased to offer Japan Society members and friends discounted tickets of £10 (usually £50) for the upcoming performance by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Journeys of Discovery: Conflict at the Southbank Centre, London, featuring renowned Japanese pianist, Nobuyuki Tsujii.

We are looking for an Experienced Freelance Youth Worker to work with us on a new youth initiative, the Japan Youth Collective, responsible for working with the Japan Society and the young Collective members to ensure they get the best outcomes from the programme.

We are looking for a Membership & Development Officer to work with us as the first point of call for the Society’s members and donors, responsible for supporting the donor relations team, attracting new members, and developing our donor funnel.

It is possible I had not been paying sufficient attention before last Monday’s excellent and very well-attended annual lecture by the UK’s ambassador to Japan, Julia Longbottom, kindly hosted by our friends at Nomura.
