Two enrichment days for 240 Year 9 students (ages 13-14) at the Folkstone Academy. Students took part in a range of activities including origami, kite making, taiko drumming and martial arts workshops lead by experts in these fields. The events were intended to offer further understanding of Japanese culture through the creative arts and to precede ongoing Japan themed study within the school.

Japanese Calligraphy Workshop
A calligraphy workshop for students to learn more about writing Japanese characters, led by a specialist.

Bespoke workshops for children, families and young people at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill.

Foyle Obon Festival 2022
The annual Foyle Obon Festival welcomed the Hannari Japanese Dance group and Japanese storyteller, Masako Carey to the lineup, engaging audience members of all ages.
